The Roaming Barista was established in 2016 as the first fully decked out mobile coffee van in Alice Springs. With Jess and Dean jumping behind the wheel in 2020, The Roaming Barista has roamed far and wide, settling for now on the beautiful Mid North Coast of NSW. Unlike many mobile coffee options, The Roaming Barista is FULLY self-sufficient – we don’t need access to power, water, waste and do not use a generator…with almost zero set-up/pack-up time on site, all we need is a relatively flat surface to park on and we are ready to brew! The Roaming Barista is your go to for barista made coffee at your workplace, event or private function.

The Team

The Roaming Barista is a small, family run business with husband and wife team Dean and Jess the baristas behind the biz. You’ll often see other family members helping out on the day – covering FOUR generations and ranging in age from 4 to 84!!

Jess dabbled in both health and education before realising that true happiness lies in making coffee. Dean had tried his hand at a variety of occupations…until Jess convinced him that true happiness lies in making coffee.

Jess and Dean are passionate about The Roaming Barista and ensuring that the name is synonymous with delicious coffee and outstanding customer service. They love getting out and around town, meeting new people, getting to know the regulars, all while ensuring every coffee is made with care and attention to detail.
